Saving Gateway

The government is piloting an 18 month scheme, the Saving Gateway, to give up to £375 to savers. Eligibility is limited to people out of work and in receipt of benefits, or people on low incomes. Every £1 saved, up to a maximum of £25 per month and £375 in total, will be matched by the government.

The pilot areas are: Tower Hamlets (London), Gorton (Manchester), Cumbria, Cambridgeshire and Hull.
